Transistor BassLIKE

Impressive app and worth the money -- especially if youre into Roland gear. Hats off to the developer(s) for a great reproduction in sound and to the user experience desiger for an easy to use and fun interface. If youre taking suggestions...would love some FX and 909 sounds/sequencer. Still great app, thanks for the effort.

Automation???

Any way to record the tweaks in frequency response and envelope live then play the loop back to have those tweaks automate themselves?

Great Application

Easy to use, with a great sound. Very much worth the money!

Its like having a 303 in your pocket!

Awesome! Now I can work on tb-303 patterns on the iphone and then transfer them to the real box. Interface is very good looking and the application works smoothly. The sound is good, but nothing is like the real box. I would like to see random pattern/accent/slide (all or some) generator and maybe a simple delay/reverb. Maybe a wifi/bluetooth midi/din sync... maybe one day! If you are into creating electronic music, this software is well worth the money and it is not a toy. Hats off to the developers and I look forward to new features and the updates.

Killer

Really smooth, solid, great sounding app! Awesome for sketching song parts while youre away from your gear. Saving patterns is my favorite part of this, there seems to be unlimited save space! Only problem Ive had is changing bpm. Do I really have to write everything in relation to 140 bpm, or am I missing something glaringly easy?Add some drum sounds/sequencing and youre totally cooking. Recommended!

A must have!!!!!!!

Interface is extremely well laid out, if you enjoy making beats, pick this up.

Come on you @*#$ Lets have some Aphex Acid!

The app is solid. Good 303 emulation. I like the way they reduced the amount of knobs needed by using a dual X/Y Axis. Only feature Id like to see besides a Random pattern generator would be to have the notes light up when they are triggered (this would help you better figure out where in the pattern you are because when youre dealing with a 64 note (or more) pattern its easy to get lost.) Another feature that would be nice would be the ability to write protect patterns with a password (that way you can let your friends play around, and they wont accidentally ruin a saved pattern).

Awesome

This is a very cool app...its just fun to make cool beats even if you are not very experienced at all the controls...play your beats in public and watch everyone dance once you get this app...it would also be very cool if you could record your whole beat session

Directions please

Can i play this like a bass guitar, one note at a time or is it just random noise?

Simple and effective.

Great and intuitive interface! Knew what to to within seconds and a minute later had made a new preset, transposed, copied, and tweaked it! Would love a metronome or simple drum synth Ala btbx, but if you want the 303 sound this has it beat hands down.

303 clones

Analog vs Digital I have had a few 303 clones. Love that acid sound. For a app on a phone this sounds great. Manipulatable driving into distortion and cutoff. Great app. Thanks for making this. "K"

=)

The interface is beautiful and its user friendly. It sounds great. I just wish I could control this synth through MIDI.

Also not impressed.

For $5 (+ $2 upgrade for nearly nothing??) this app cant hold a candle to synth apps costing slightly more (noise.io) or even less (Argon). Should be $.99, 2 stars only because of the Beatmaker compatability.

Upgrade bites

Do not waste your money on the upgrade-its a joke. Otherwise the app is really well done.

Real nice

Slowly downloading every music app I can find and this is my first review. Really simple and intuitive to use. Everything important on one screen is awesome. Sequences are easy to write and effects easily manipulated. Sound is nice and fat. If I could wish for one thing it would be a beatbox with the same layout, instead of notes on the bottom of the screen you could have percussive choices. And at the top where you choose sequences you would have a set for the drums. That would be a sick D&B machine!!

Huh?

May be an awesome app, but I just dont get it. You better be pretty technical in this field before you per chase.

Great app

This app is great. Its really one of the best iPad music apps Ive downloaded. Unfortunately, it seems to have stopped working with os 4.2 on iPad. Please fix.

You Can Make Your Own Bassline!

Its Great I Got it for $0.99 sorry its back up to $4.99 its a little pricy but its very cool. 2 thumbs up! :)

CoreMidi sync!

Beautiful update. Fun to use with MoDrum app, nice sound and effects.

Faithful, musical rendition of a 303

Works like a 303, sounds like a 303. Good stuff here. Very musical and useful out of the box. I would love to see a modern pattern editor - theres nostalgia in having a step-by-step sequencer, but I would quickly blaze past the purists if I could edit my patterns visually and all at once, piano roll style. But thats a minor quibble... The XY pads for frequency and envelope are pretty great and I can see this being quite useful in a live context. Nice job, Devs!
